I've tried other forums but nobody seems to know the answer to this. I'm new to Dashcode but have started developing web apps that pull in data from an xml file. What I'd like to be able to do is to add a parameter so that rather than pulling in all of the data from the xml I only pull in data that matches the parameter given by the user. I've seen brief hints about being able to add a parameter to the URL database string, but nothing detailed. If anybody can help me out here that would be great.

I am fairly new in Dashcode, but I started writing simple web applications by pulling data from an XML file. I would be able to allow the user to enter a value for a parameter for the request to web application data to be compatible with the value of the parameter. So if I have a list of names and does not want to put on a list of people named Smith How could I do that? I can not find any documentation on how to proceed.
