I recently added the Formula 1 Countdown (v1.1) to my new homepage (yet to launch it). Now that the 2007 season has ended the widget is dead. Would somebody please sync this widget with the 2008 season calendar? If you visit the F1 site you can see that they are already counting down to the next race in March. Thanks everyone, what a great site!

I have updated the feed with the 2008 calendar. The Formula 1 widget should work fine now, enjoy!

I've noticed that the widget countdown is not the same time as the F1 site countdown. Why? Shouldn't the widget be counting down to the "local" time of the next race? Is the widget set up to display the time difference from "local computer time" vs. "local race time"? It would be much better if it were counting down based on the location of the race.... Or just in sync with the F1 site. I think they figure it based upon the local time where the race is being held.

That's because on the F1 website they're counting the time remaining till the first practice session, which is 2 days ahead of the actual race. Check the 2008 race schedule on Wikipedia to see the actual race times in 2008. The widget displays the time remaining till the beginning of the next F1 race, which is the same regardless of the time zone.
