if I have a single widget (in multiple flavours - i.e. sidebar, dashboard etc.) hosted on widgipedia as one widget - I can see total number of downloads. Is there anyway to find out the number of downloads of each flavour of the widget i.e. how many for sidebar, how many for dashboard etc. ?

or should I host them as separate widgets on widgipedia and not use the multiple formats feature?

Unfortunately counting separate flavor downloads for each widget is not a feature supported by Widgipedia at this point, however this is a great suggestion and we'll be happy to consider it for our next site upgrade.
