This is Yahoo Widget version of the Steampunk Volume Widget for PCs and Macs that you could certainly use on your desktop. It is a lovely piece of eye-candy as well as being useful on your desktop. This is one of a small set of icons/widgets for your desktop, the others are a typical set of Victorian desktop acoutrements.
